CIS OVERVIEW FOR CLINICAL STAFF

 

CIS (Client Information System) is a state-wide program that allows access to information about DMH clients. Clinicians are given read-only access to the information contained in the computerized record so you can access the information you need in a timely manner. CIS is a user friendly program – your options will be listed on the page and your input instructions will be clearly noted (Ex: Enter Search Criteria and press ESC to Query).

 

To view Client Information:

I) Intake/Services (enter)

 

C) Client Information (enter) (You can key the first letter of the ring menu option you want or arrow across the ring menu. ... means further options are available.

 

Q Query (by CID or name)

Esc

 

V View

Enter page # – options are listed across the bottom

(8 - Clinical; 9 - Diagnosis)

Enter (if other than page two)

 

CTRL + C to cancel out of record when you have information needed.

 

OR continue pressing Enter and the system will go through the record by     page

    - If you choose this option, you must hit “E” after page six, and continue with Enter

 

 

To view services billed:

F) Financial (enter)

 

N) Month At A Glance (enter)

 

Q Query

 

Enter    CID #

Fee Eligibility (Optional)

Serv Date range

Sort Order (D or T)      – For your purposes, enter D for Date sort.


 

To view a Service Ticket:

I) Intake/Services (enter)

 

S) Service Tickets (enter)

 

Q Query by ticket number and ESC to view.

 

(Your access will be limited to viewing the ticket only.)

 

 

To Print a Caseload Report:

R) Reports (enter)

 

C) Client

 

F) Active Clients by Case Manager (enter)

 

Enter beginning and end staff id # 

 

(The numbers should be the same – must enter in both places.)

 

(Ex: 0155, 0187, 0616 – must use the leading zero.)

 

NOTE: Printer MUST be set-up in CIS before any reports can be printed.
